Top Knot...

Also found these pics of my Mum whilst trawling through old family pics... Just think they are lovely. I especially like the penguin one as she looks so grumpy! The hairstyle as well... Sure I have some photo's kickin' about of me at the same age with a similar do - cheers Mum.

Family

For my final major project I am creating a book about family life, so today have been looking through old photos of my family and scanning them all in... They all have such a nice feel about them and I especially love the rounded edges a few of them have. Here are some of my favourites... The blonde girl is my Aunty Lucy. Not quite sure what will be in the book yet or how/if I will use the images... I'm working on it!

Lomography LC-A+

This was a competition set by Lomography to create a design to go on their LC-A+ camera to celebrate 25 years of the camera being in production. I created a design inspired by the 80's and Russia (when and where the camera was made) and applied it to the cameras, t-shirts and used it to create a logo.

Penguin Design Award

This is my final design for the penguin design award; the brief was to design a book jacket for the book 'Perfume' by Patrick Suskind. I wouldn't say the design is my normal style... but somehow it is what I ended up with! The idea is based on the main character being able to distinguish the many different scents that make up certain smells.

Amelia's World...

This photo is taken from the Amelia's World series by photographer Robin Scwartz, the series looks at Schwartz's daughters relationship with loads of different animals and I think that the photos are pretty cool and have a really nice feel about them... especially the one above with the Lemur in mid-air!

First Post...

Me and Em battling the wind to try to get the letters to stay standing

Hello! Thought I would upload a few pics of what I have been up to this weekend... My friend Alex asked me to create some images for him that could be used for his new EP cover, so I decided to make his name and photograph it! It took 2 rolls of masking tape, 4 sheets of A1 grey board, 1 knife, 3 knife blades, 2 hands, 4 cans of spray paint, 17 hours and lots of tea... But I did it! The photo's I've posted were taken with my Lomo Diana Instant, got a few digital ones too but they don't have the same feel to them as the Diana photos.
